With three frequencies a week, Volaris started operating its flights from Mexico City to Ciudad del Carmen, where you will offer 12 thousand seats with fares from $699 pesos in a single journey.

On behalf of Carlos Miguel Aysa Gonzalez, governor of Campeche, Jorge Enrique Hands Esparragoza, secretary of Tourism of the state said during the inaugural ceremony that Campeche is carrying out a strong economic strategy and tourism to help the revival of the state, so that this new route is critical to meet the objectives.

As part of the efforts made by the government, the World Council of Travel and Tourism granted to Campeche the seal of safe travel, showing that the state can ensure all the measures for the care of the health of travellers.

Volaris continues in spite of the pandemic, offering the lowest costs on the market and giving Customers the routes and the destinations they seek. The new route will operate on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, leaving the City of Mexico at 6:30 am., coming to Ciudad del Carmen at 8:01 am.

In a press conference, Ruben Lozano, director of airports at Volaris, pointed out that, during 2020, the airline has remained as a leader in the transportation of passengers in Mexico and said that in the last few months have been prepared to be able to offer their Customers the routes they asked for.

“In the last few weeks we have not only reactivated routes, we have also opened new, such as this one between Mexico City and Ciudad del Carmen, which helps us to broaden the market demand of Visitors, Friends and Relatives (VFR),” said Lozano.
