The Tourism Employment platform aggregates more than 50,000 jobs to be filled immediately


On May 14, 2020, the Interministerial Tourism Council confirmed the launch of a digital platform for tourism professions.
With the support of the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, AKTO, AFDAS and OPCO EP, Pôle Emploi, the French Institute of Tourism developed and coordinated the implementation of this platform Tourism employment.

On June 2, 2021, in Saint-Cirq-Lapopie in the Lot, as part of the meeting on the revival of Tourism and the priorities of the State organized by Emmanuel Macron, Georges Rudas, president of the IFT, was invited at a working meeting with the Secretary of State for Tourism Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne to discuss the next stages of the relaunch and the contribution of the Tourism Employment platform to the promotion of jobs in the Tourism sector.

Indeed, hard hit by the health crisis, the tourism industry must now overcome the urgent recruitment issues to ensure a recovery with quality services at the height of the world’s leading tourist destination.
To date, more than 50,000 jobs to be filled immediately in the sector, 90 detailed job descriptions, 150 career paths offered within the sector are already available on the site“, specified Georges Rudas, in a press release.
