Riu opens its second hotel in Zanzibar

Riu Jambo, focused on family tourism, is located next to the hotel Riu Palace Zanzibarreformed in 2019. In its Main buildingwith five and six floors, is where the reception and most of the rooms are located, although 93 are located on the ground floor facing the seastaggered so as not to hide the views of the surrounding landscape.

The large wooden palafitte overlooking the sea, which houses two themed restaurants -the Italian Il Panzotto and the fusion Kulinarium-, in addition to the Bahari bar, is one of its most emblematic spaces

In addition to the restaurant offer located in the palafito, the hotel has a Yunnan Asian restaurant and the main Maisha, with terrace and international cuisine. It also has a lounge bar with a terrace. Bongo Flavathe pool bar with swim-up bar Hakuna Matata and the snack bar on the beach Rafiki.

The land on which the new establishment stands is where the La Gema dell’Est hotel was located, acquired by Riu in 2019 and of which it has maintained elements such as the palafitte.

The children’s club completes its entertainment offer RiuLandthe area of RiuArt and the area of RiuFit; as well as a spa, gym and the possibility of practicing water sports with Scuba Caribbean.

One of its 461 rooms, 93 of them located in a staggered manner on the ground floor facing the sea.

In its outdoor area, hotel guests have five swimming pools at their disposal, one of them for children.
