Record-breaking cruise ship from Germany is scrapped before her maiden voyage

dreamed of! There is definitely no future at sea for the second new build of the global class from the insolvent MV shipyards. The planned gigantic cruise ship is unofficially referred to as “Global Dream 2”: It was – like the sister ship “Global Dream” – commissioned by Dream Cruises and was intended exclusively for the Asian market. But Dream Cruises filed for bankruptcy as a subsidiary of the insolvent MV shipyard owner Genting Hong Kong. Now the insolvency administrators of the MV shipyards want to sell most of the half-finished “Global Dream 2” as scrap.
