Campos do Jordão didn’t even reopen completely. Commerce was allowed to operate every day – but restaurants could only operate by delivery and take-out.
This was not enough to prevent agglomerations in Capivari, the commercial and social center of the city. The open shops and restaurants selling food and drink ‘to go’ at the counter again filled the boardwalk. And since you can’t drink with a mask, you’ve seen it.
With the curve of cases rising locally (and also in many cities in the countryside where tourists come from), the Municipality of Campos do Jordão decided to suspend the opening of trade on weekends.
As of today, and for an indefinite period, non-essential trade will remain closed between Friday and Sunday. Capivari restaurants can no longer serve for travel. Only delivery is allowed.
Is distrusting necessary? Agglomerating is not necessary.
