NH opens a hotel in a National Heritage building in Prague


The NH Collection Prague Carlo IV It has 152 rooms and suites distributed over five floors. The building has a lobby from the 19th century and a coffee in the lobby. In turn, there are rooms for conferences and events, a gym, a swimming pool and a spa area with a sauna. Dining options include the cosmopolitan-style Inn Ox Restaurant & Bar and the exclusive The Vault Bar, located in the building’s former vault.

The Neo-Renaissance building, in which the hotel is located, was built in the late 1890s by the famous Viennese architect Achille wölf and it is listed as National Heritage. It was the headquarters of the Czech Mortgage Bank and, years later, the headquarters of the post office was built there.

In 2003 the Italian architects Marurizio Papiri and Adam T. Tihany turned it into a luxurious hotel, carrying out a contemporary extension.

The NH Collection Prague Carlo IV It is located on the border between the Old Town and the New Town of Prague, a ten-minute walk from places such as the Old Town Square or Na Prikope, the capital’s main shopping street.
