Put on your skis and head for the family resort of Orres, located in my Hautes-Alpes, just above Embrun and Lac de Serre Ponçon. This family resort spreads out between 1,550 meters and 2,720 m above sea level, with a good part in larch forest, a magnificent view of the Serre-Ponçon lake according to the hamlets. Why choose to ski in the ski resort of Les Orres?

A family resort with an easy base for a solo mom

The choice studios at the foot of the slopes and facing the pious pious is important. Very practical when you are alone carrying a child, skis, bags for a snack etc …

A nice ski school

The ski school is great; the teaching team is demanding but all in a good mood. Capucine is rather cowardly and each time, she had a blast. The animators were super cool with the little ones (they did magic tricks during the snack. 5 years later, Capucine still remembers it) and afterwards, she had teachers who were happy to be there and very good teachers.

Which sector of Les Orres do you prefer and why?

Les orres 1650 parce that I do not have my license. There too, no problem: the crossroads markets, pharmacy, doctors and others are all in the buildings where there are the studios. And the animations are also within studio reach : trampolines, mechanical sledges The Orrian Express (see photo), departure by snowmobile.

Snowshoe treks

Considering the situation in the forest at the bottom of the station, the snowshoeing activity is very pleasant there. many courses are laid out in the middle of larches (conifers which lose their thorns in winter, so do not think that the trees are sick!). You can therefore go alone or with a guide if you want information on the flora and fauna of the region.
