No matter how hard you try, Brazil will be at the most runner-up to irresponsibility during the pandemic. The title has already been won, in advance, by the United States.
Here, the opening of some destinations before the contagion curve points downwards was a surprise.
Florida, however, is taking the experiment to its ultimate consequences. The Disney complex in Orlando reopened exactly on the day that the state registered the peak of new cases.
Hopefully the protocols – wearing a mask, social distance, virtual queues, reconfiguring the stops – prevent the parks from becoming a contagion focus.
But how do you guarantee the behavior of all these audiences outside of Disney’s guarded space? And why move travelers at a time like this?
If that’s any consolation: this is a great time to not be able to travel to Florida.
