With the imminent reopening of the hotels in Cancun, dated in the beginning for the next 8 June, the travel agencies also prepare and adapt their protocols to the hotels, according to the executive president of the Mexican Association of Travel Agencies (AMAV) Quintana Roo, Sergio Gonzalez, (Cancun puts date to the arrival of tourists: between 8 and 10 June).
In an interview with REPORTUR.mx, González has explained that the travel agencies will be open to the couple of the hotels and to go hand-in-hand will have to adapt to the health protocols and hygiene and establish the hotels.
“The agencies will have to adhere to the protocols of sanitation and hygiene in the hotels because that is where we work, and we are the branches, and tables of hospitality, where we cater to tourists,” he noted, underlining that “we have to do things in parallel as do the hotels.”
In this sense, has pointed out that, in principle, it is expected that the co-workers of the hotels that will open to return the 1 of June for work of cleaning and induction with the new protocols of hygiene and June 8 to be able to open the doors to the public. “Some hotels have stated that they already have bookings, the ‘booking online’ are working and there are reservations, with is optimism, hotels are open.”
